Need tutoring help?
Back to Basics Tutoring Program at Church of the Palms
Back to Basics Tutoring began in 1992 as a Church of the Palms mission to the community for the purpose of providing supplemental academic help to 12 students from our church. Since then, the program has grown to over 225 students from 35 schools in the area. Tutoring takes place at their Bee Ridge Campus Center and is a one hour, one-on-one tutoring session. Tutors volunteer to help the students from one hour a week to 5 hours a week. There is no tutoring when the Sarasota County Schools have vacation or when the Campus Center is used for Sarasota County Elections. Students from grades 1-12 as well as students from nearby colleges are helped in various subjects.
